Terms of Use

GlamSwap SA is a consumer-to-consumer (C2C) online platform that enables South African members to list, browse, buy and rent fashion items from one another. GlamSwap SA acts solely as the platform facilitating these interactions.

GlamSwap SA is not a party to any transaction between members. We do not own, inspect, or guarantee any items listed on the platform. All transactions are arranged directly between members.

You must be 18 years or older to create an account on GlamSwap SA. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and truthful.

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure
• You may not create multiple accounts for the same person
• You may not use another member's account
• GlamSwap SA reserves the right to suspend or remove accounts that violate these terms

When you list an item on GlamSwap SA, you confirm that you are the rightful owner of the item and that it is accurately described. You agree not to list:

• Counterfeit, stolen or illegally obtained items
• Items that are in a condition significantly worse than described
• Items that are not fashion or clothing related
• Any item that is illegal to sell or rent in South Africa

GlamSwap SA reserves the right to remove any listing that violates these terms without notice.

Rental agreements are made directly between the member renting out an item and the member renting it. GlamSwap SA is not responsible for the condition of rented items, disputes about damage, or the return of items.

We strongly recommend that both parties agree on the following before completing a rental:

• The rental period, start date and return date
• The rental price and how payment will be made
• A damage deposit amount if applicable
• Collection or delivery arrangements

All communication regarding these arrangements should be conducted through the GlamSwap SA messaging system to create a record.

GlamSwap SA is a community platform and all members are expected to treat one another with respect. The following behaviour is strictly prohibited:

• Harassment, abuse or threatening language in any form
• Fraudulent listings or misrepresentation of items
• Attempting to conduct transactions outside the platform to avoid accountability
• Sharing another member's personal information without their consent
• Any activity that disrupts or damages the platform

GlamSwap SA connects members as a platform service and is not a party to any transaction. To the extent permitted by South African law, we are not liable for losses arising from transactions between members, including damaged items, failed deliveries, non-payment, or fraudulent listings. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the rand value of the transaction in question. This does not exclude liability for our own gross negligence, nor does it limit your rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted platform access and are not liable for losses resulting from downtime or technical errors beyond our reasonable control.

GlamSwap SA may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify members of significant changes where possible.
